Today, 50% students attend government schools. What happened there?

The constant low balling by government, below par spending on education in the Budgets year after year has resulted in blow to the Indian education system.

More and more lower middle class parents every year are spending their hard earned money on Private schools expecting better education.

Is this going to change? Is the government going to improve their role in the country’s education?
